Simplicity

At the start of the year i promised myself i was going to get a 'proper' skin care routine and stick to it. My aim was to follow the whole cleanse, tone and moisturise thing religiously but it just didn't work out for me.

I gave it ago for about two months... and found my skin becoming dry and sensitive & outbreaks of blemishes were occurring more and more often. I think it was probably just because my skin isn't used to that much product and chemicals. Everyone's skin is different and this 3 stage routine will no doubt work absolute wonders for some people.

So i decided to give something else a go because i couldn't bear the horrible spots any more... And whilst in lush i came across this:

Lush 9 to 5 - orchid oil cleansing lotion
£4.50 for 95g or £8.95 for 240g

The lush website describes it as "A simple yet beautiful liquid facial cleanser for those times when you’re in a hurry and need to just cleanse and go. Contains a lovely light fragrance of honeysuckle and ylang ylang. 9 to 5 will gently remove all traces of dirt, grease and make up without dragging the skin. You will be left feeling fresh, clean and ready to start the day".

I really like this product and i'm so glad i found it :) Its light and milky and smells lovely, not a trace of horrible chemicals. It removes your make up and also cleanses (two birds, one stone) and i must say it leaves my face feeling nice and mosturised. I simply just use this with cotton wool pads and tah-dahhhhh, smooth clear skin.

Although i feel like this cleanser has helped to reduce blemishes, sometimes the odd flare up cannot be helped. For those times i find this product unbeatable:

Some people swear by this and some find it a odd product to use of your face, i am a huge lover of this!!! Its a antiseptic healing cream so it makes sense really that it would help in the spot department. This little baby isn't just a nappy rash cream, it is also good for eczema, burns and acne. I really find this helps reduce redness and reduces spot size... With it being antiseptic it also helps to stop any future spots in their tracks :)

So there it is... my super simple skin routine :)
I really have seen a huge difference, what are your skin must haves?
