All the way from the U-S of A

So my boyfriend has just been for Florida for 2 weeks, and i must say he excelled himself with the presents :)
Imagine my face when i saw this little bag being unpacked ^^^

& inside was this little beauty!

It is of course the infamous Nars blusher in probably the most talked about shade - orgasm (risque name i know, but i actually quite like that about the brand as it makes them stand out).

Orgasm is described as peachy pink with a shimmer - may i add the most gorgeous golden shimmer ever!!! As with all Nars products, i love the packaging and yes it will get grubby etc but i love the whole look of them. I cant wait to wear this, especially if this glorious weather keeps up as i think the shimmer will be perfect.

You can buy Orgasm here for £21.00
but he picked it up in America for $28.00 from Sephora, which works out around £17-£18!!

Boy did good!!!

MAC Dame

MAC - Satin powder blush
in DAME
£17.50

Dame is described as a sophisticated blue pink. But don't let the word blue put you off haha, i mean who wants a blue face?!?
Its a lovely pink shade with a slight shimmer to it... In the pan the shimmer seems to have a purple sheen to it which is where i imagine they get the blue tones from, but it doesn't transfer like that to your face. With blue undertones you would expect this to be quite a cool tone, but on my (snow white) skin the shade is actually warming and doesn't make me look washed out or pasty which is a big thumbs up from me.
I really like the formula, its so soft and super easy to blend.
This is actually my first MAC blush and i am now wondering why o why i put off buying one so long... I can see myself picking up a few different shades in the near future :)

At £17.50 MAC blushes aren't cheap, but they are great quality with a great shade range. A little goes a long way so they will last you ages too.

If anyone can suggest a nice MAC blush for pale-ys like myself let me know :)
Thank you!!

GOLD by Giles - Blush

So last week saw the launch of the second GOLD by Giles make up range exclusively for Newlook & this one looked impressive.

I picked up two blushers, a pinky one in the shade 'Angel' and the bronze one in the shade 'Goddess'.
These retail at just £2.99.

This is the shade 'angel' and i actually quite like it. Its a lovely pink colour and has a slight shimmer meaning it has a bit of a highlighting affect to it.

This is the shade 'Goddess', and i would actually say its more of a bronzer than a blusher?!?
Not for my skin type at all but it is a lovely colour, and has a shimmer too it also.

Im impressed by these blushers, they are really nice quality. Super soft and easy to blend. The colour pay off isn't massive at first but its buildable.

On the down side, they include the shittiest brush i have ever seen, ever.

Blushing

Thought i would show you some of my fave blushers at the moment. The collection is bigger than this but i decided to only talk about ones that i actually had something to say about:

Myface Mymix rouge blusher in thee shade 'fair' - £9.99
The packaging for this range makes me want to be sick... they have sorta tried to make it look 'cool and hip' and resemble an ipod?!? why o why would you do this.
But anyway packaging aside i bought this blush as their range is catagorised into fair, medium and dark with products specifically for your skin tone.
I actually really like this blush... its a lovely, very pigmented pink. The formula is very soft and creamy and blends really well.
All in all i would say if you can get past the horrific packaging then it is a great product for a tenner. Its often included in the boots 3-4-2 also :)

MUA blush in shade 2 - (i cant actually remember how much this was?! but the MUA prices all seem to be between like £1 and £4 so im imagining not very much!!).
The colour of this blush is actually a nice one but the formula is a bit too 'soft', i seem to loose alot when putting it on the brush as its very powdery.
The packaging is very cheap, but for like £2 what do you expect!!!
I would say these blushes are great if you are in need of a new blush and on a very tight budget, but i don't find myself reaching for this one often - or at all.

Models own powder blush in the shade cheeky blush- £6
I really love Models own and this didn't dissapoint. I love the colour its really bright and it blends amazingly :)  as you can see i have well and truly hit pan on this and will 100% be repurchasing when its all gone.
I don't think iv'e ever had a bad or under average product from Models own and their prices are more than reasonable.

Benefit Coralista - £23.50.
I wont go into too much detail about this as EVERYONE knows and loves it!! Its a gorgeous corally pink with a shimmer. As you would expect from Benefit the formula is great and the packaging is awesome!!!
Once again i have hit pan on this... i would repurchase it but would be tempted to give Hervana a try instead , as everyone is raving about it!

ELF blush in peachy keen - £3.50
The only blush in my collection that isn't some form of pink!!! I cant say i was expecting much from this (sorta thought it would be similar quality to the MUA blush) but i was pleasantly surprised!!!
The colour is a lovely peach with a subtle gold shimmer, and the formula blends well. I think the packaging some what resembles NARS blushes which is only a good thing. I have just hit pan on this... and i've only had it 3 weeks - this shows just how often i've been using it!!!
For £3.50 i have nothing bad to say about this and have recently purchased a few more things from ELF, when they arrive ill review them too :)

So out of these 5 my fave at the moment is the ELF one (im quite suprised with it being so cheap), closely followed by Coralista as it seems when it comes to blushes Benefit can do no wrong!!!

ELF blush in Giddy Gold

Yep thats right, yet another ELF post!!!! This time its the blush in Giddy Gold (£3.50).
The ELF blushes are really great quality, unfortuently this shade doesn't really suit my snow white complexion :( i think it would look lovely on someone with a nice tan!!! Saying that, it does a perfectly good job at highlighting so all is not lost!!!

I would say with this shade less it more unless you want yourface to uber glow?!? and have a sparkle resembling that of Edward Cullen? thought not.

Ive already spotted some lovely pinky shades in this blush on the website HERE and will probably be trying them out soon - i think pinks suit me alot better,

All in all i cant find a single fault with ELF. Fab prices, fast delivery and amazing products. What more could a girl ask for?

E.L.F blush - Review

So a few weeks ago i posted about the E.L.F goodies i had bought, but i had literally just got them and hadn't used any of them (It was more of a look what I've bought than a review). I like to give products a proper chance before reviewing, as you cant always tell after just a few goes whether you actually love it or not.

I can confirm i do love this blush.

This blush is shade 'peachy keen'
Excuse the state of the packaging... as you can see its been well used!!! (a good sign, i hope)

When i first opened the product i was dissapointed it didn't seem peachy at all.. it seemed more brown (like a bronzer, and when your as pale as me that is not what you want). This being said i gave it a chance and continued using it for a few days... Then to my amazement something magical happened!!!

Once i had broke through the first layer of the blush (the skin, if you will) i discovered a peachy, shimmery loveliness. Which was exactly what i have been hoping for when i purchased it.

It applies really quite light, but is easily builable which i like. The swatches below show it after just one of two layers, it is easier to make it so much darker.

I have had this blush a good two - three weeks now i think and i have found myself reaching for it almost every day. I am very surprised by this as i am normally a very pink blush sorta gal, and this is literally my only non pink blush. But my others haven't really had a look in since this one arrived, i really like that it has a slight shimmer as it gives almost a sorta highlighter effect.

I must say im a fan of the packaging also, i feel it has a sorta NARS homage to it and even includes a mirror. It doesnt come with a brush, but i never use the ones included anyway as they are often a bit crappy. I've been applying this blush with my ELF blush brush also £3.50 & also fab!!!

At £3.50 i find it hard to pick any fault at all with this product (once you get through the initial non peachy stage). Its available HERE & i must say i found the customer service from ELF top notch!!! Got a little text telling me it was on its way and arrived it no time at all!
