Mouthwatering melon

E.L.F conditioning lip balm (SPF 15) in Mellow melon
£3.75

I picked this and a few other bits up from the E.L.F website when they had a 30% off code a few weeks ago. I popped this in my basket as i figured a girl can never have too many lip balms, right?!?
I thought the colour looked lovely and the name 'Mellow melon' sounded delicious.

It comes in this clear plastic pot, which if i am honest is alot bigger than it needs to be. I really like the shade and the formula is nice and moisturising on the lips. The shade is a really deep pinky coral which is perfect for the summer months. I must admit i was some what dissapointed with the scent, or lack of it. I was expecting a lush juicy water melon scent, but no such luck!!! It just smells of a basic lip balm if i am honest.

GOLD by Giles - Lip gloss

So last week saw the launch of the second GOLD by Giles make up range exclusively for Newlook & this one looked impressive.

I decided to give the lip glosses a go as there was some lovely shades and they only cost £1.99
I picked up the shades 'Ruby red', 'Berry' and 'Bellini'.
(Left to right)

I really like that its a blush applicator as it makes putting it on a breeze!!!

I love the colours and think that they actually seem to give a good colour pay off considering they cost £1.99!!! They also aren't at all sticky :)

All in all a great product for the price i would say!

Peachy Keen

Soap and glory "A great kisser" lip balm - in Juicy peach
Available @ boots for £5

I picked this up just to have a little look... with no intention of buying it as it is essentially Vaseline but for £5.00 instead of £1.99!!! THEN i smelt it - ahhhhhhhhmazing.
It gives a lovely slight coraly sheen to the lips, smells awesome (think peach schnapps) and makes the lips extra soft and moisturised.

I love it

KIKO #part4 all about the lips

This is the KIKO lip gloss stick in shade 'light beige' - retailing at £3.90

This is the KIKO lip gloss stick in shade 'baby pink' - retailling at £3.90

These are great little lip glosses, and are different to what ive experienced in a stick form before. Normally lip sticks come like this meaning they are matte and quite drying. These are classed as a lip gloss meaning that they provide a shine to the lips and give moisture too. I picked these 2 shades as they are super wearable and have found myself reaching for them a fair bit :)

They are easy to sharpen as the end fits into a standard double cosmetic sharpener. I think these are a great price and there is some lovely colours available.

Check them out HERE

Ooops another duty free buy...

As i said in a post recently, i just cant resist duty free... so i thought it would be rude not to pick up something on my way home aswell ;)

OH MY GOD... the cosmetic department at Malaga airport. I didn't know where to look!!! I'm not sure if it seemed to awesome because i was comparing it to the shitty one i had experienced at Leeds Bradford airport 6 days before or not - but i think it was was a pretty fab one.

They even had a full size MAC counter, which i knew i wouldn't be able to pass without a look. And uh oh before i knew it this was in my basket :)

MAC - Cremesheen lipstick in the shade Creme d'nude
It retails at £13.50 normally but i think it worked out that i got it for about £12.

This isn't a new shade by any means, its one loads of people love & one that has been reviewed to death!!!
I've had my eye on it for ages, as i've been trying to find the perfect nude. I have tried others but none of them were what i was after. With me being pale i found a lot of the 'nudes' available on the high street were actually quite dark and looked more of a light brown on my lips.  I knew this one would be perfect, but instead of just buying it i wasted money trying to find a cheaper alternative (next time i think ill just go straight for the MAC as it always ends up being the shade im after!).

Its my first Cremesheen mac lippy, and i actually really like it. Its a lovely creamy formula which isn't at all drying.

I love it and i know i will wear it loads!!!

Ahhhh mac... as far as lipsticks are concerned you can do no wrong!!!

Candy apple

Revlon ColorBurst lip butters - £7.99

I was intrigued to try these as i heard loads about them and Revlon isn't really a brand i buy. I wasnt sure whether i would like these or not as i'm more of a lippy than a gloss sorta girl and wasn't sure how this balm like formula would hold up.

I  bought the shade 'candy apple' as i am a sucker for a red lip.

I must say i was more than pleasantly surprised by the colour pay off, its a lot more pigmented than i had imagined. It doesn't last as long as a lipstick but that is to be expected really for what is essentially a coloured lip balm. I also like that while lipsticks can be really drying this is really nourishing and lives up to the 'butter' part of its name.

All in all... i would say this is good product for someone who maybe isn't a huge lipstick lover.
I do think they are slightly over priced for what they are, and while i like the silver stick design i don't like the plastic quilted packaging - i think it looks cheap and nasty.

You can pick them up now in Boots as part of the 3-4-2.

Pretty little pots

I was in Primark the other day and saw these, and yes i am a sucker for pretty packaging, so i felt the need to buy two. I have enough lip balms to sink a ship but hey ho they were only £1 each!!!
Don't you just think the packaging is lovely!?!

1) Vanilla

This actually smells lovely, not the sweet sicky sorta vanilla i was expecting!!! It applies totally sheer and isn't sticky :)

2) Cherry

This one also smells nice :) and would be perfect over a nudey sorta lippy!!!

I just thought they were to cute not too mention :)

ELF matte lip colour in coral

I popped this in my basket randomly when on the ELF website simply just because it was £3.50, a lovely colour and reminded me somewhat of Topshops 'Coy' which is £7.00. And i must say i am glad i did :)

So whats it like???
Firstly, the colour. Whats not too like? A lovely highly pigmented pastelly coral. Ticks all the boxes.
Secondly, the formula. Its matte so obviously somewhat drying. In fact very drying but its nothing that a slick of lip balm cant fix.
And lastly, the amount of product. I was very impressed here as sometimes in these 'pen' type packages they scrimp on the amount with it not being on show but this has loads!!!!

I cant actually compare with Topshops 'coy' as i havent tried it... but it looks pretty similar too me!!!
